I am a Chartered Accountant and businessman who has been living in the west of Wokingham Borough for over 50 years. I first moved to Arborfield in 1968, and then Swallowfield in 1984 were I bought my first house and subsequently moved with my wife to Spencers Wood in 1997 where we have lived for the last 27 years. I was first elected to Wokingham District Council in 1994 serving until 2019. I held several executive roles most notably the finance portfolio where I ensured that the Council’s finance was soundly based leaving the finances in very good order in 2019. I enjoyed my previous roles and want to give back to my community again.
I have seen the many changes that have taken place in the area together with the continuing challenges experienced by residents of Spencers Wood and Swallowfield.
